Privacy Policy

TradeCoach ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use tradecoach.us or the TradeCoach iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account.

Trade data: Trade screenshots, manually entered trade details, and trade history you provide or import.

Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS in-app purchases). We never store your card or payment credentials.

Push notification tokens: If you grant permission, your device token is stored to deliver market alerts and trade reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Usage data: Number of trades graded per month, stored locally and in your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered trade grading and coaching feedback
• To display your trade journal and performance history
• To deliver relevant market news for your holdings
• To process subscription payments via Stripe (web) or Apple StoreKit (iOS)
• To send optional push notifications about market activity and trade reminders
• To improve TradeCoach features and performance

3. AI Processing & Third-Party AI Disclosure

TradeCoach uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze your trades. When you submit a trade for grading, the following data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API:

• Screenshot mode: The trade screenshot image you upload
• Manual entry mode: Your entered trade details (ticker, price, shares, notes, and trade style)

No personally identifiable information (such as your name or email address) is included in these requests. The data is used solely to generate your in-app coaching feedback. Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train its models under their API usage policy. For full details, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share your trade data with any other third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database platform. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

5. Third-Party Services

TradeCoach uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing for web subscribers (we never store card details)
• Apple — in-app purchases for iOS users via StoreKit
• Anthropic Claude — AI trade analysis
• Netlify — hosting and serverless functions

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from TradeCoach Settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data and trade history are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

TradeCoach is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
